Overview

 As a key member of the Business Applications Engineering team, the QE Engineer will require enterprise wide perspective and deep Techno-Functional understanding of enterprise applications architecture, design and implementing technologies including ERP, Enterprise Application Integration, Relational Database Management Architecture & Design, Web Application Architecture & Design, cloud management (PaaS, IaaS etc.,)

Besides technology architecture & engineering background, QE Engineer in this role is expected to have significant, demonstrable and current experience delivering QE on large enterprise application projects 

                                                                                                                            Key Responsibilities                      

  • Hands on experience testing of various flavors of Business Applications, Testing experience on ERP is a major plus
  • Hands on leading and coordinate test efforts, and help to improve testing abilities
  • Define Test approach, prioritize test cases across System Integration Test/Performance and User Acceptance Test
  • Test process, Test approach, level of testing, various test types and test phases
  • Understand the quality and constantly strive to achieve quality in all the deliverables
  • Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, and Systems Analysts within Business Applications team and across Applications Engineering Group to execute and continually improve the testing function
  • Coordinate and lead project testers – both technical and business roles – to execute cases within a test plan, manage defect triage and resolution process, and drive testing to closure
  • Define testing for data validation and data quality for business applications
  • Create and manage project test plans
  • Evaluate and review test case completeness, content, and sequencing
  • Maintain requirements traceability matrix and organize the test management for future re-use
  • Define and govern test environment management (e.g. Dev, Test, Integration, Production)
  • Report test metrics to the Stake holders on a regular basis

Qualifications                                                

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited education institution and 6 years of experience in delivering technology architecture and engineering focused projects.
  • Testing experience with Oracle R12 EBS is a major plus
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, data modeling techniques (3NF, Dimensional) and strong SQL skills
  • Strong background in data Warehousing principles and methodologies and transactional systems
  • Ability to depict the technical information conceptually, logically and physically.
  • Experience in environments including development and testing of a broad range of technologies; combination of packaged apps and custom built applications, their maintenance and support.
  • Demonstrable experience in testing the performance, scalability, and maintainability areas of architecture concerns related to large enterprise applications.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and direct complex technical concepts / Solutions to technical resources in clear concise language
  • Understand the quality and constantly strive to achieve quality in all the deliverables
  • Good understanding on Testing Methodologies for Development methodologies like Agile, Waterfall
  • Experience with test automation, scripting, load management and performance testing in a BI environment
  • Ability to translate business applications functional specifications , design and architecture documents into a test plan with defined test cases
  • Demonstrates a passion for data management and data quality
  • Experience with test and defect management tools (e.g. DevTest, TestLink, JIRA, BugZilla, etc.) and defect management
  • Experience with major ETL tools preferred (e.g. Informatica, Pentaho, Ab Initio)
