Requisition Number: 151574

Position Title: Software Engineer III

External Description:

SEED is a pioneering group within Electronic Arts, combining creativity with applied research. We explore the future of interactive entertainment, hoping to enable everyone to create their own interactive experiences.

As a gameplay software engineer in SEED you will be working at the core of our tech stack and help build our platform for games and interactive experiences of the future. You will imagine and connect new types of gameplay in collaboration with game designers and fellow programmers. Rapid iteration is key, and will focus on building SEED's vision in a distributed and networked environment. You will share your learnings with others, and every once in a while you will also maintain and optimize.

You consider yourself versatile, but you might also have expertise in a specific area of a game engine. You are familiar with game systems, and often enjoy analyzing and deconstructing the games you play. But your knowledge and experience is not limited to gameplay. You might know a thing or two about entities, streaming, networking, rendering, animation, UI, AI, but also how content pipelines and level editors are created. You are familiar with several programming languages and can reason about when you should use one over the other.

Exploring and solving problems is part of your DNA, and feel that your versatility gives you an extra edge. You don't mind going outside your comfort zone because you know that's where the magic happens, and know that in the end that's how great games and interactive experiences are created.

We take care of our team, and we provide a competitive compensation package including bonuses and relocation.

We believe that each person is unique, so we offer individual coaching and support to help you reach your full potential. We respect and value our employees’ personal lives. A good work-life balance is essential to our long-term success!
