Global Brand Management (GBM)

Join us as an Associate Global Brand Manager within the EA SPORTS FIFA team.  The GBM team partners with the development team to:

  • drive the development of player-first brand and business strategy, which informs the long-term product roadmap.
  • build annual product experiences, built on consumer insights, which keep players engaged with FIFA all year long.
  • establish data informed business objectives that are used, in partnership with key cross-functional groups (commercial, marketing communications and analytics), to hit key short and long-term player and business performance targets for the biggest game in the industry.

 

GBM is the one team at EA who oversees “the entire pitch” from product inception to go to market activity.  Our measure of success is to continually build a history of positive brand equity with our players which keeps them excited to play the current game and the games to come.

 

 

The Role:

 Along with having a keen interest for football, games and business, you will have a foundation of strategic, creative and analytical capabilities that will support the GBM team. To do that, you will be comfortable working with a diverse mix of teams, be solution oriented and a clear and concise communicator.

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Contribute strategic recommendations for product improvements during the dev cycle (ex. Mode improvements) to maximize product quality at launch.
  • Influence content, fixes and content pipelines for new and existing game modes after launch (ie. as a live-service).
  • Support major GBM strategic deliverables (decks and presentations).
  • Co-Own the relationship with the development art team to create marketing specific assets that support our global and local campaigns.
  • Drive all approvals with FIFA (licensor).
  • Drive all GBM legal approvals.
  • Support internal and external partner requests for in-product marketing integration.
  • Pull business related data inputs for a variety of reports and research which help to inform live service strategy and execution.

 

You will report to the Sr. Brand Manager and will be an important contributor to the GBM team based out of Vancouver, Canada.

 

You will be a self-starter with strong project management skills, organization, and attention to detail. You will be comfortable juggling many different projects and adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced and ever changing market while also being able to maintain focus and drive projects to completion. You will enjoy working closely within the multiple geographies and functions at EA, and with our most important licensing partners and sponsors.

 

Skills / Core Competencies:

  • Must have a strong interest in football (soccer) and EA SPORTS FIFA.
  • Experience in contributing to data driven/informed business and product strategies, in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, that retain and engage players.
  • Capability to manage licensor relationships as it relates to program and asset approvals.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with a variety of personalities and skill sets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be solution oriented and resourceful while being able to work autonomously.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and analysis to projects / workflow.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years product marketing experience in consumer-focused categories.
  • Experience in gaming is also desirable.
  • Experience in marketing to various consumer demographics, especially football fans
  • Experience working in a fast paced, constantly changing environment while influencing multiple personality types is desirable.
  • Experience in the football industry is a bonus.
  • Marketing degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
