Position Overview

The Competitive Gaming X (CGX) Senior Program Manager will work with our teams and external partners: development teams, marketing teams, central tech teams, tournament organizers, production companies, and more to ensure the successful execution of EA’s charge to innovate and establish the next era of competitive gaming. You will also build and drive confidential projects across the CGX portfolio. You should have an exceptional understanding of what it takes to manage competitive ecosystems, be familiar with league operations and tournament/event logistics, have an affinity for what players expect from both gaming and viewership experiences, and excel in a team environment where fun is culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Strategic Plans: Implement plans with the aim to create new fans of competitive titles, inspire existing players to engage more deeply, find new ways for viewers to interact with our content, and uncover EA’s next major competitive gaming opportunity.
  • Coordinate: Run meetings to assess progress and identify risks. Work with partners to maximize opportunities and overcome challenges. Influence and inspire multiple internal & external teams to rally towards a common goal.
  • Program Management: Manage workflows and guide momentum across multiple projects using collaborative tools (i.e. Wrike) for process tracking, status updates, and completion deadlines.
  • Competitive Gaming - Functional Expert: Represent CGX to Global Brand Management, Electronic Arts Partners, CG Commercial, and Campaign Management teams as the standing expert in ecosystem and creative experience design.
  • Evolve Process and Workflows: Find opportunities to improve how we work, build a case for change, proceed to generate buy-in, and support the implementation.
  • Event / Competition Liaison: Consult and track the process of competitive event experiences for players, spectators, viewers, and more by serving as a strategic lead between our studio and broadcast partners.
  • Industry Research: Remain current on industry trends and investigate examples of success for integrity and potential best practices that, if adopted, can positively improve our existing & future programs.
  • Drive Retrospectives: Gather feedback and curate insights to improve future execution on existing programs and drive innovation for newly created programs.

Required Work Experience

  • 5+ years of experience creating strategic program roadmaps and/or competitive ecosystems from concept to launch while working as the momentum driver for all members involved.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to articulate complex program designs in an understandable manner for partners.
  • Reputation for being a collaborative expert and dedicated facilitator, with the ability to organize and motivate work across multiple team boundaries.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and influencing skills, with a proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
