Description du rôle :

À titre de spécialiste de l’équilibrage, vous collaborerez étroitement avec notre équipe de développement en partageant vos connaissances d’expert à propos des nouveaux jeux en production. En raison de la nature confidentielle du travail, le contrat fera l’objet d’une entente rigoureuse de non-divulgation et de protection de la propriété intellectuelle, et l’ensemble du travail devra se faire au studio. La durée du contrat variera de 40 à 120 heures par mois pendant 6 à 12 mois, selon les besoins de l’équipe de jeu. Un minimum de 10 heures de travail par semaine sera prévu jusqu’à un maximum de 40 heures. Les postes à pourvoir se trouvent notamment dans les studios de Montréal et Austin.

Responsabilités

  • Évaluez nos jeux, évaluer l’équilibrage, la progression et les nouvelles fonctionnalités. Certains de vos objectifs seront d'évaluer selon différents profils de joueur et évaluer les fonctionnalités en termes de plaisir, de difficulté et de qualité selon la perspective du profil déterminé, en veillant à ce que le métajeu soit amusant, engageant et équilibré en tout temps.
  • Évaluez les jeux de nos concurrents et effectuer des analyses qualitatives et quantitatives des fonctionnalités ainsi que de l’équilibrage des jeux et évaluer les jeux par rapport aux nouvelles fonctionnalités de nos jeux.

Compétences minimales

  • Un engagement fort dans l'une de nos nombreuses communautés de jeu est un plus
  • Expérience dans une variété de jeux de base
  • 18 ans ou plus
  • Le poste nécessite une présence sur le site à Montréal ou Austin.

What The Role Is:

As a Game Balance Specialist, you will work closely with our development team providing valuable feedback on new games we are making. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, the contract will be under strict NDA and IP protection, and all the work will be done in the studio. Duration of the contract will range from 40 to 120 hours a month for 6-12 months, depending on the needs of a game team. A minimum of 10 hours of work a week will be scheduled with the schedule going up to a maximum of 40 hours a week. Locations, where these roles are open, include Montreal, Vancouver, Seattle and Austin.

Responsibilities

  • Assess our game(s), evaluating game balance, progression, and new features. Some of your goals include assessing gameplay while keeping in mind different player profiles and evaluating features’ fun, difficulty, and quality from their perspective, ensuring the metagame is always fun, engaging, and balanced.
  • Assess competitive products and do both qualitative and quantitative teardowns of the features and balance of those games and evaluate against the new features in our game(s)
