External Description:

Brand Operations Consultant (4-Month Contract)

Are you our brand operations leader?

The newly formed brand team for Electronic Arts is only six months into building our brand, so all of this is very new. That means we’re still making it up as we go along. If you’re looking for a challenge, then this might be your gig. You’ve caught us at the best time - the very beginning - how exciting is that? The opportunity to bring an amazing brand back to life doesn’t come around too often… so that’s why we’re here and hopefully why you’re still reading this job description...

The Brand Operations Leader will report directly to the VP of Brand. You help us to establish the operating system of our new, growing team as we progress towards our quarterly and annual goals. You’ll be a leader with business acumen and operational flair plus you’ll have a passion for brands. From writing the business case for brand programs, to driving our annual team goals to success, to overseeing the program management team and brand identity studio hub, you will help the EA brand team become a smoothly functioning dream boat. Hint this will require some transformation - we’re a little scrappy today because we’re only 10 months old.

Day to day responsibilities

  • You will establish and run our team operating system
  • You will guide the team to achieve our annual goals
  • You will support the VP of brand in writing the business case for brand programs to take to executive staff
  • You will support the VP of brand to plan and allocate team budget and resources
  • You will oversee and support the program management lead to translate our goals into a series of programs planned against the annual calendar
  • You will oversee and support the VP of brand with workforce planning, identifies the need for additional resources proactively
  • You will oversee the running of team meetings, ‘offsite events’ (remote for now), external inspiration and training

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of brand and, or marketing operations experience
  • Experience running brand operations
  • Experience overseeing program management teams
  • Experience running a brand ‘studio’ providing design and copy support to the whole enterprise
  • Experience writing exec level business cases
  • Experience driving teams towards goals
  • Examples of setting up team operations from scratch or transforming chaos to clarity
  • You've led a team before and know how to empower others to thrive
  • But you’ll therefore have tried and tested methods of streamlining team operations that you can apply to our team rather than needing to invent them from scratch
  • You have  experience writing business cases for brand programs
  • You've had experience leading change
  • Great collaborator who loves working across teams
  • Outcome and output oriented
  • You’ll share our brand team values - in particular, inclusion will be important to you
  • Willing to get hands dirty
  • A comrade
